Dice is a go-to of mine to find local events (I travel a lot for work so this has been a game changer).

It's a platform/app that specializes in local events in your area for films, music shows, comedy shows, talks, workshops and the like.

You can buy tickets directly on the app as well.

Over the last few years, I've personally been feeling more isolated away from my community(in a way, all roads are paving that path for us) and to go against that-putting yourself out there in these spaces of creativity with like minded acquaintances are so important, most especially now.
